OKAY So who knew you could rupture your appendix AND NOT die from peritonitis???Not me and I am a nurse!!!!! Dr Aranow looked over the CT scan from Friday, my lab work , mashed my belly some more and decided I ruptured my appendix....too much. Especially ironic since about a month ago I was in his office with my mother- (she has a pressure area on her gluteal area I needed him to look at) He opted for conservative non invasive treatment and then said "that's it? I thought I was going to get to cut something- I have bills to pay you know" in my flippant retort I said "I'll try to get a hernia or RUPTURE MY APPENDIX FOR YOU" ....be careful what you say I guess!!!!!! Glad I didn't say "I'll try to perf my bowel and need an emergency colostomy" or "I'll develop a thoracic aneurysm" Cripes....anyhow- I am on Flagyl and Cipro for 10 days, and deciding how best to use my affliction to guilt my husband into doing more. "I'd empty the dryer but I can't right now the pain from MY RUPTURED APPENDIX is too much...." "I'd get up and ge tthe kids ready for school but I just ruptured my APPENDIX over here..."

Momo, you are too much! God Bless your sense of Humor! It will serve you well ! If your house is anything like mine that "Ruptured Appendix " will not make that much of a difference as I was doing Laundry while hunched over from my recent surgery. Just programmed to do things when they needed to be done! Hope you try to take it easy and that your feeling better real soon! Take Care,

Egads! You are a most determined gal! And with your positive attitude... kind of like... "this is my life? !!!" (pulling socks up)... ... guess so! you will heal and move ahead. I think you should start a weekly article... "MoMo's Reflections on Life from the Cattery" Kind of like Erma Bombeck... Get well soon kiddo! Look for something in your email! T.

He'll pay his bills with the standing room only people that were at last night's meeting...(from what I hear)...he doesn't have to rely on just you As for "milking" this for all you can get...GO FOR IT!!! You deserve and need to rest! How come Lindsay Lohan makes headlines with a ruptured appendix and you don't? Hmmmm.. You should do a blog with your musings! You're too funny. REST Paula

Hey bernadette, I ruptured my appendix long ago,and now I dont have them,,I also dont have gallbladder, ovarian tubes, etc, etc,,plus a very small stomache now,I have c-diff which keeps comming back,,right now I am back on the vancomycin,,it is expensive, but really works.I have alot to do around here, however,,someone else can step in and do it for me,I too would have jumped off a bridge long ago. So take it easy and get well,,,maybe we are mentally connected with all our ailiments..Lol...Hope to see ya soon,,get well,,cyndee
