Hi Deb, My first fill was really small and after half a day on liquids/mushies, I did switch over to soft food but I didn't have restriction anyway. Ihope I didn't do any damage - too late now. I just had my third fill and this time it was different. I am definitely restricted and pretty much stuck with the rules. I am sure we get swollen from a fill so I would never eat regular protein, I would stick with the softer foods (okay I lied I ate a fried egg with a soft yolk). But the meats and fish I always stayed away from. I would ask the doc what he thinks because I am no expert so I don't know how much damage you end up doing. All I can tell you is my experience! So in the end I told gave you no info!! Good luck, Nancy K

I forgot to say that I would post this on the Lap Band board because you will get more replies! Bette posts over there so you might hear her point of view! Just an idea! Nancy K

I'm sure there are plenty of people who haven't waited and some have gotten away with it and others have ended up hugging a toilet wishing they didn't eat a solid! It is best to have a day of liquid a day of mushy and then try a solid - I do one day of liquid and two of mushy just to be sure - I absolutely hate when things get stuck! Try to follow the rules your doctor gives you Best Regards, Tammy
