Anyone Dr barbas patient :-o

i did all of my appointments, except fot the completion of the nutrition appointment which is the 24, Sharon said she would schedule me for any appt with the physcians asst on the 26 how much longer after that what else is left . I am becoming very anxious . I know you guys can relate.

Once I had completed all pre op testing and nutrition visits and all reports were received by the office I had my appoinment with the doctor. Then it was about 1 month till my surgery. Hope that helps. All good things come to those who wait! Good luck Sher

I just got the call today to set my surgery date. It is tentatively set for March 21st. I really am hoping something opens sooner as I wanted to do it in February with February break days to add to the accumulated sick days I have (I'm a teacher). But guess we'll have to wait and see if that happens. Anyway, I am one of Dr. Barba's patients also. I haven't actually sat and talked with him yet other than as part of the group at the introductory seminar. When I made my appointment after completing "the process" I met with his assistant/nurse and with a guy, Scott I think his name was, who basically seemed to making sure I had been fully informed and understood the risks, etc. Kinda seemed like a legal CYA maneuver to me, but it would make sense to do so, were I in his shoes. But I look forward to meeting Dr. Barba. Maybe on the 19th when he (or whoever) does the Endoscopy??? Anyway, my date is contingent on the insurance approving with no problems. So we shall see. At least all the hoops have been jumped through and I can relax and wait it out. (yeah...like relax and wait belong in the same sentence!) Kimba Lazzarini Enfield, CT

When I went through the process the last visit I had was with Dr. Barba and he gave me a date one month out from that day - he did the same with two of my friends. But am I understanding the process has changed? You're not going to be meeting with Dr. Barba before your surgery? You'll be meeting with Honor instead or in addition to? Best of luck to you! Tammy
