How long did it take from Info session to surgery?

I was just wondering how long it took from the info session to getting the surgery (you personally, I know everyone is different). I am so stupid. I am so much in a rush to do this that I am driving myself crazy!!! I want it now!!!! LOL. Anyway, I appreciate any and all feedback. Happy New Year all!!!!

Hi--I think we are all in a hurry once we make the decision to for for taking charge of the rest of our lives. I wen to the info session in January and had my surgery (bypass) on August 7th. I was grateful for the time as it allowed me time to learn more about what life was going to be like after the surgery-what woudl change and what would not change--as well as prepare my mind and body for the surgery. For me, the time flew up until the last week which was simultaneously the slowest and fastest week of my life. All the best, Carol D.

Hi Sue. I went to St. Rays in New Haven and it took about 3 months from first info session to surgery. It depends on your insurance more than anything else. If you "Self pay it moves alot quicker! Good Luck!

i knew what i wanted when i went in..i had all my research done.. first set of appointments, including consult was october 25th Surgery was November 10th...they have made it clear tha*****pically does not happen this quickly feel free to ask me any Qs

Thanks for all of those responses!!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL!!!! I am so excited. I am going through insurance so I am trying to get all of my bases covered right now. I have been requesting all of my medical records from all of my doctors (past and present), consulting with my PCP, trying to start some of the necessary appointments, etc. My info session is on 1/11/07. I definitely want the lap band unless the doctor says otherwise. Is there anything else that you guys think I should be doing? Thanks for the valuable input!!!
