I had my surgery Wednesday the 27th! And I must say.. OUCH OUCH OUCH! I had so much pain from the gas, and nausea OMG! My back is still killing me, but its getting better each day. I've been walking around since day one.. and deep breathing. I'm know each day should be better.. and I can't wait for those days! ok.. off I go...

As silly as this might sound, have somebody give you foot rubs. It helped me immensely with the painful gas I had after surgery. and I did labor breathing as well. It does get better as Dorota says. The first month is the hardest. Treat yourself well, with kindness and you will feel better soon. T.

YEAH...LET'S HAVE A WLS PARTY FOR YOU!! Walking will help move the gas along, so that is your first defense! When you need to lay down, try laying on your side with your knees up a bit in a semi-fetal position. I don't know why, but when I had emergency surgery on my intestines (cut belly-button to pubis, OUCH!) that position helped alieviate some of the gas pain. Best of luck and know that we're thinking about you! Keep us posted! Deb
