OK...Has anyone tried "soy spaghetti" or the "Sans Sucre" brand chocolate mousse mix? I want CHOCOLATE and PASTA but, on a reduced carb/reduced fat diet, I can't have too much of either. If you've had them, would you please write a little review of your experience with these foods for me/us? If writing about the spaghetti, please include the brand name. Also, I don't have any nutrition info on the mousse. I'm trying to lose some weight and get my HBa1c down so I can have WLS. It's 8.8! Thank you in advance, Deb

Hi Dab When I do "pasta" I use whole wheat pasta. I settle for suger free chocolate pudding that I make with skim milk myself. Don't do "Mousse". Good Luck!

I'm with my buddy Julio on this one...whole wheat pasta is not too bad..and the sugar free, fat free instant pudding mixes are pretty good...I think JELLO makes a white chocolate sugar free pudding mix that's pretty good.......have not tried the mousse, and the idea of trying soy pasta seems a liitle icky to me (and some people here might tell you, I have accepted some pretty "icky" stuff for the sake of low fat, "healthy" eating...) hang in there, and good luck Dorota

Hi Debra, I personally like the spaghetti squash. I cook the squash, clean out the seeds and use a fork to pull the fleshy part of the squash out. Looks like and tastes like real spaghetti. I use sause and meatballs made with ground turkey breast. Hope this helps. Barbara

Deb, the whole wheat pastas are quite good. They're not that cardboard tasting yuck anymore. The Barilla plus has a good amount of protein also. I have tried the sans sucre stuff too. The cheesecake one. I have all the flavors in the cabinet. It was good...just dont mix protein powder in it....it ruins it! Sf popsicles, pudding, jello are all great snack ideas. Barb, tell me more about this spaghetti squash...Im intrigued.

Am not Barb, but have tried the spaghetti quash...get it in the vegetable area, with the acorn squashes and such....I personally dont think it tastes anything like sppaghetti, but it does look like it when you take in out with a fork, and is quite tasty when prepared like barb said.....As a matter of fact, I just got a craving for it from her post...lol...think I may get some today...need to try a few days of low-carb eating myself.....and am pretty sure I have some ground turkey in the freezer, some onions and green peppers in the fridge, and a good sauce in the cabinet....sounds like a plan to me!!

I did too! I'm going to go out and buy some and make it today! With some sauce and meatballs!!! Dorota, how many pierogi did you eat this Xmas? We didn't make any, so I didn't get any...boo boo hiss hiss. Sauerkraut are my fav. My sister did have Rosol's kielbasa and kapusta, but I was too full from her clam chowder and antipasta that I couldn't eat any at all...probably better off! Happy New Year! paula

OH NOOOOO!!!! Now you got me craving pierogis too! LOL!! I like the potato ones sauteed with butter, onoin, minced garlic, parsley and oregano...mmmmmmm!. BUT, I think I'll give the spaghetti squash a try, instead. I'll put it on my next grocery list. I did order A package of soy spaghetti and A package of Sans Sucre chocolate mousse mix. I'm not sure why, but I just can't handle wheat pasta. I've tried several times but my taste buds continue to protest. The soy spaghetti was $3.99 for 12oz () but if I can tolerate it, it will be worth it to buy just for myself. As for sugar-free pudding mixes, I've tried major brands but the problem I have is with the after-taste from the sweeteners they use. The only sweetener I like is Splenda. If the "Jell-O" people would use it in their mixes, I would be in HEAVEN!! The Sans Sucre brand uses Splenda, so I'm willing to give it a try. I guess I'LL LET YOU ALL KNOW HOW THESE FOODS ARE! LOL!!! Take care and have a healthy holiday! Deb
