Whether you need some encouragement for all your hard work in 2006 or someplace to vent to help you re-focus to gain a fresh start in 2007, your peers at Norwalk Hospital are here to help. We will continue to have our entirely peer-lead post-operative support group meetings on the FIRST WEDNESDAY and the THIRD MONDAY of every month; we start at 6 p.m. and are always in the FIRST FLOOR VOLUNTEER CONFERENCE ROOM at Norwalk Hospital. Our next meeting (which is open to all bariatric patients, their families and loved ones) will be Wednesday, January 3rd. Whether or not you were a Norwalk Hospital patient, you are all cordially invited to join us for our bi-monthly talks. Any questions, please don't hesitate to email me ([email protected]).

First, please feel free to attend the Norwalk Hospital post-op support group meetings, even if you had your surgery at another hospital. Because we are strictly peer-lead, and strive to offer encouragement and motivation to one another, we have members from different surgical programs. Secondly, I have no idea about Dr. Crum's business dealings. I do know that he scheduled bariatric procedures as close as he could to the day he was leaving, without compromising patient care (he needed several weeks following his last procedure to be certain that he would be available for those patients should any complications develop and for follow-up care). I am not sure if you asked the office for a refund of any moneys you paid (which I assume was for a program fee) and what the response was. Perhaps you might consider contacting Dr. Crum (he provided follow-up information by letter to all the patients). You can find his contact information at Texas Tech on this site.
