Good news
Well, my hubby is against me getting WLS due to the cost. I have a max out of pocket of 2500 dollars. I went to a hand surgeon today and I have to have surgery on my hand and will be doing that next month (2007) or the month after. So... if I can convince the hubby my WLS will be 100% free IF the insurance company cooperates.

Well, I think everything will work out for the best, in its own time. Be patient.
Are you on disibility and medicare? I know that medicare pays for this surgery...
I want to ask a question...why is it your husband's final decision? It's YOUR health here...not his...Does he want a wife that's six feet under ground?
Just like you'd finance a car, you can finance this surgery if insurance doesn't cover it.
Sit down and talk to him about it.
What surgeon were you looking at for this? Maybe they have a payment plan???
Cover all your bases and then sit down and talk to your hubby. This can be a matter of life and death, in the long run...

Nope, not on disability or medicare. I am still able to work.
We just have a lot of bills and money is tight so he wants me to try to diet before I have surgery. Like I haven't done that all my life. He just doen't understand how it works. I have PCOS also and that makes it hard. I went to a dietition before and the weight was not coming off me like she thought it would. It was frustrating.
I want to see Dr. A. But, like I said it should be paid for if I have it done in '07. I just need to show the hubby that it's the best thing for me.
It's just frustrating since he said I could do it then a few weeks later he said to diet again. I even said I would stay here and have the surgery even though I want to go to Ohio and be with my family. I am thinking the going home is what made him change his mind. Who knows. I will try to talk to him again.
