disapointed
Deb-
If you can look at yourself in the mirror and say you are following your drs. orders for your recovery--then you are not doing anything wrong.
Your body has been through surgery: it is swollen and wondering what is going on.
Then some of us are slower losers too.
But keep moving: that will not only help move the weight, but will also make you feel better which will make moving easier....lol I think you can see where I am going with this
When I first got out of the hospital, Dr. A. had told me to walk a mile a day. It took me all day sometimes to get that mile in: many, many short walks.
Keep sharing with the board--and keep moving!
All the best,
Carol D.
I only know what I have heard...
If you are not restricted yet.. what you lose is icing on the cake (sorry for the pun).
Stay compliant and it will work.
See your nutritionist if you need to in order to check your food intake.
Also... check out the Lapband Message Board.
I am sure they too can help.
Hang in there.

If you just had surgery on 11-28 you should be on liquids still right ??? You cant really do too much wrong there.
I lost quickly with the liquid pre-op diet FATS, and was also dissappointed after surgery when it came off slower. Dont worry about it yet, you are fresh our of surgery. Give it some time.
If you have any questions or what to talk, just drop me a note.

I think we all expect that as soon as we have the surgery we're going to lose like 50 pounds the first month. What you have to remember is that you are less than 4 weeks out from having MAJOR surgery. Your body is healing and conserving resources. You are swollen and bloated. It takes about 6 weeks for your body to start getting into the groove. Relax, take care of yourself and keep your focus on what's coming down the road, it's a great ride!
