HELP!!! I cant get rid of this pain

Hi everyone I am just over 6 mths post op and for the last 3 days I have had the worse Gas pains right in the middle of my ribs where they meet. I have tried everything they Dr.'s office says to take Beano (Which I have) and Gas-X (which I have). I dont know what else to do I cant eat anything or it hurts and I cant even drink water without it hurting. I havent really tried any new foods I take Beano before ever meal What do you think it could be and PLEASE tell me how to get rid of it. The only way it feels ok is if I lay on my side but as soon as I get up the pain is right there. I am honestly so close to just driving my self to the ER...Thank you all in advance April

Hi april! Sounds to me it's time you gave your doctor a call and have himget a look at you! That doesn't sound normal at all ! Good Luck!

Agree with Julio... call your doc and see what they can do. And sounds like you already know about laying on your left side with your knees up to your chest. But this sounds like not so temporary of a situation. Your surgeon should respond to this to help. Could this be the flu? I know some of us have had horrid intestinal stuff going on of late. Keep us in the loop. Towanda

April, Read my post I just posted. Had the same problem as you. Thought it would go away but turned out to be more serious. Call your DR. that is what they are there for!!!
