On My Way ! ! !

Hello, I've been lurking around in OH,, reading everything that everyone is saying,, all the do's and don't's,, how they felt before and after surgery. I never,, ever thought about this surgery until my Doctor sent me to the dietician, and she suggested it. So at my next Dr's appt. which was yesterday,, I asked for a referal to the WLS surgeon,, and I got it. The WLS is Dr. Bell. Anyone else in here have him? Would you mind emailing me and telling me your experiences with him. My Dr. said that once they get the referal, Dr. Bell's office will contact me. So,, then what happens? What are the next steps. I'm ready to get started. I've been doing the Weigh****chers program for the past 5 weeks, haven't lost much, but there is at least a small loss each week, except last week I had a one pound gain. Mary Anne, I did not use Dr. Bell but I met him at a support group meeting and just loved him. At the time he was not doing Lap Band which I wanted so I could not use him but I would have been right in his office otherwise. I think you will really like him. Good luck on your journey! Nancy K
