allergic reaction

Hi everyone. I'm 6 months post op open RNY. 2 months ago i developed an awful rash. I went to a dermatologist who has no answers for me. I've been on steroids and i recently had a patch test, testing me for 23 common chemicals that cause rashes. All negative. I just went thru a biopsy this morning and a steroid shot to control the eruption of the rash. Has anyone had an adverse reaction like this from the surgery? I don't see Dr. Barba for 2 more weeks. Any advice?

I would call your Doctors office and ask them, might be more common than you know and they might be able to shed some light on the cause. Good luck and keep us posted. Sheila

ARe you still taking protein shakes? I have a friend that had a reaction to the weigh(sp?) protein and she had to go on soy. Also with weight loss like ours, quick, we tend to get dry, irritated skin. Are you getting enough fluids in? I hope you get some answers from your Dr. hugs, Chrissy
