Hi Deborah, and congrats on your new journey in life that your about to experience. Don't think of problems that could be waiting, because quite honestly there may not be any problems at all. I had open RNY and had all kinds of feelings the morning of. But be assured you are making the right decision for a happier & HEALTHIER life!! This is all you should be thinking of. My 1st week went by fast, hosp 3 days then just trying to get comfortable at home. Food was not on the mind and I was so tired from the anesthsia (sp) and drugs that I did sleep alot. head hunger will come into play probably week 2, it's normal, just don't let it get to you, you have to fight it. Best wishes to a speedy recovery. Will be thinking of you!!! sending prayers your way!!! Stacy 269/158/150

Hi Deborah, Food was and still is a lot of things for me. (good and bad) The surgery certainly helps, but it takes a lot from you too. But it is worth it. I am a very slow loser, but I am still glad I did it. If you have any questions or want to talk at all, send a note. Keep me posted ! Bree
