I am home, all went well!
Welcome home Sheila! Nice tosee you goto the "Losing bench" ok. Just follow doctors orders now. You are eating with a babys stomach now so treat oy accordingly. At this stage I was havig my liquid meals with a baby spoon. Not only does it make you take your time, it teaches you patience as you eat! Kept that baby spoon with me till I was in normal food stage. WAs a great learning too! Best if Luck and A very Happy Thanksgiving! Take Care
Thanks Julio! It is funny- i have a 10 month old daughter and between naps and eating we are about on the same schedule! I took 2 naps today. I am trying hard to meet my water and protien goals. I am having turkey broth tonight. Before my surgery I bouhght these pretty little bowls- maybe 4 ozs (?) at Christmas tree shop, and I have lots of baby spoons for my daughter.
Thanks for your kind responce, you seem to really be a great person!
Sheila
Congratulations Sheila!
Happy to hear all went well...Julio is right (as always)...baby that pouch......let it heal.
My doctor's plan involved a lot of walking, and I found it really helpful. If that is part of your plan, make sure to do as much walking as you can. It will help you heal and get stronger.......
Hang in there.......
and Good Luck on your Journey.

Welcome back!!! I'm so glad everything went well. I had open procedure 4 weeks ago now and just want to pass along these words of wisdom.....
* listen to your body. It will tell you if you are tired, need more fluids or protein, or needs meds adjusted.
* The first weeks are not easy...but it will get better. When you are having a low moment, stop and think about why you did this...I know you have your own reasons, hold on to them.
* Take advantage of this healing time to sit back and get to know yourself. Someone else can worry about the laundry and dishes and changing the baby...you need to heal.
I wish you the very best of luck!
Welcome home and congratulations! Home is the best place to be when you need to heal! Having a 10 month old is very demanding so make sure you take as much you time as possilbe - it's good you are napping when your daughter naps - that's a great plan! You'll be eating about the same portions for the next couple of years too (if she's anything like my little guy)!
I hope the path ahead of you is smooth sailing!
Best Regards,
Tammy
Hi Sheila,
I just wanted to welcome you to the losing side! Good luck in your journey and I second what everyone above me has said! I had Lap Band surgery so I don't have great words of wisdom but I want to be supportive of you.
I am glad you are home. It is so much more relaxing then the loud hospital (at least it was for me). Make sure you take care of yourself, I am sure it will be hard with a 10 month old - I remember those days!
