Surgery date 11/27--N-E-R-V-O-U-S
Hi all-New to this site. I had an attempted Lap Band 4 years ago with many, many complications-it was removed, coma for 3 weeks, etc. VERY scary experience. So WHY am I attempting this again???? I am unable to maintain any weight lo9ss--I am 52 years old and I'm thinking lightening doesn't strike twice--right? Anyway, this surgeon comes VERY well referred--has fixed alot of mylast doc's mistakes, so I've heard. He does not promise he can even do the bypass--or band. Will have to be an open procedure. I understand all this, and defer to his expertise---however, nervous doesn't even begin to cover how I feel inside. Anyone else have this experience? Anyone NOT think I'm crazy? Your prayers and comments are most welcome!

Your in good hands with Dr. Barba, I have heard from some of the members here that he is very nice and very good. I myself dont know him, but that is what I have heard.

I don't think you're crazy at all - I think you are brave and should be proud of yourself for not giving up and fighting to save your life - you are a person who should be commended and supported!
Best of luck to you - I hope the doctor is able to give you a surgery that helps you with your battle of the obesity beast!
Best Regards,
Tammy
