Need to be honest with all of you!!!!!!
Hey Anne
I miss you!!! Thank you for giving me good tips about whole grains and whole wheat and explained me . Now I felt better that I won't feel craving for more if I eat good carbs. I will start tomorrow since I went to shopping to buy whole grains english muffin ( will eat half) and thin whole wheat bread. I will start slowly to eat good carbs and hope my pouch will accept it.
How are you been doing? Have a great holidays!
Hugs

A slice of whole grain bread here, a little oatmeal there, maybe some healthy cereal...you know, just keep it in moderation. Stick to the goal of NOTHING WHITE!!! = no white foods- potato, rice, pasta, white bread particularly...
Whole grains are great for you, and you'll get some fiber in there too.
Don't be afraid, you have LEARNED how to be moderate in your diet. You'll be fine!
hugs,

Hi Kathy,
I'm glad that you posted and reached out for our help.
I can't say anything more than stay away from anything "white" as the others have mentioned already. Eat whole grains and healthy fruits. Check the nutrition counts on the foods to count how many carbs they have in them.
Does Dr A want you to see Liz for a visit? She can tell you how many gms of carbs you need on top of the gms of protein you also need.
Because you exercise so much, you do need carbs in your body to help give you your energy. You don't want your body turning on you and eating away at itself if you don't get the proper foods. Liz can explain all of this.
I know it's tough, and scary, but, you can do it with a lot of reading and education. That is key.
www.sparkpeople.com or www.fitday.com are both good places to find nutrition counts that I know of . I'm sure there are more if you google it.
Hang in there and ask if you get confused!
The key is, "read the labels!"

Hi Kathy, just read your posting. Try not to fear those carbs too much. Read a good article at this web site . www.sparkpeople.com go into nutrition section and select carbohydrates, it explains what are good and bad carbs and the different foods that have carbs in them and why it is important to include them in a healthy diet.
