Well,My 17 year old daughter has been lactose intolerant for years, so I am familiar with the condition...But I didnt really connect the dots....Been having gastric disturbances for a little over a week, and could not figure out why..At first I blamed last weekend'd excess of carbs, then something else... SO, I have been feeling bloated, gassy, achy,....and my daughter suggested that I stop eating dairy foods for a few days, because it sounded to her like the same symtoms she gets... And sure enough, I am feeling better after day 3 of no milk, and only a liitle bit of cheese.. I do miss my morning Bustello wit hot milk, but the soymilk is not too bad...I am going to get some more lactaid pills, (my daughter ran out a few days ago)....and maybe try my coffee again then... But this just shows me that I cannot get too complacent,,,Just when I start feeling ""normal"", this new issue creeps up...not too serious, but a little irritating... So, the moral of this story...Don't get complacent, remember that this is with you for life (whether rny, lap-band, or another procedure), and pay attention to your body. If it tells you it does not like something, don't have it... Love ya guys, Dorota "Warrior Princess" P.S. I was just reading Tawanda's profile again, and just now realized that she is the original "warrior Princess" So, Tawanda, may I use the name??? Don't want to steal it from you sweetheart...

Morning Dorota! "Cafe buestello" with soy milk? Wow, You are a "Warrior Princess" . Would settle for a little bloating for that regular cup of that "Dark Gold". Hey good that you picked up on the latest "glich" that your "Journey" has put in your path. Take Care and have a Great Day!

You must know that I am NOT the original WP... just adopted it from others who have gone before me. It is the collective energy of many that makes this wacky world go around. As I have said before... "We are such tender and fragile beings, yet such strong warriors." Each and every one of us...that's what makes us a family of sorts... T. P.S. only wish I could update my profile from time to time. Perhaps it is time to switch to the new format. For some reason my profile page will not allow me to add anymore text... the old one anyway.

Hey there Dorota, Wow, my dear you have been through alot since we last talked. Glad to hear your daughter noticed that for you. I hope it gets better for you. I know how lactose intolerance can be, I was before surgery. It was awful and painful for me. I am okay now, but I am still very careful with dairy. Dont ever want to go thru that again. Well you take care of yourself my dear Warrior Princess and know your in my thoughts and prayers always. Love ya KimC
