Does anyone know a good recipe for oatmeal cookies? I figure they would be safe to eat.

Hi Robert, At the top of the OH page there is a blank space. If you type in Sugar free oatmeal cookies it will bring up a whole lot of recipes for SF Oatmeal cookies. Or you can go to Forums / then to Show All Forums / then go to bottom left box and click on recipes. You can search there for SF oatmeal cookies also. Good luck, Barbara

Many of us follow different protocols for post-operative eating. For those of us who are particularly sensitive to carbohydrates, even sugar-free oatmeal cookies might not be a good choice-- also, for those of us for whom such treats were trigger foods, what might be a "diet-safe" food choice, but still trigger cravings for less healthy items. As with everything, it doesn't hurt to check with your nutritionist.

Steve is right, but here is a recipe you might enjoy...from www.fitnessandfreebies Sugar-Free Oatmeal Cookies Ingredients: 1 cup uncooked oats 1/3 cup Splenda sweetener 1 cup raisins or other small pieces of dried fruit 6 ounces pureed plums 1/4 cup egg substitute 1 tablespoon honey 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Directions: Preheat oven to 350-degrees. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and mix well. Drop by large serving spoonfuls onto a baking sheet sprayed with nonstick cooking spray. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until browned. Cookies are "cake-like" and don't spread much so they can be placed close together. Recipe makes about two-dozen cookies. Serving Size: 2 cookies Nutrients per serving: Calories: 78 Total fat: 1g Saturated fat: trace Cholesterol: 0mg Sodium: 9 mg Carbohydrate: 18g Protein: 2g Dietary fiber: 2g Exchanges per serving: 1/2 Starch/Bread, 1/2 Fruit I LOVE Oatmeal cookies, but all carbs are a trigger for me, so I have to be really careful. Also, sometimes it is sooo easy to lie to oneself, or rather persuade oneself that it is ok to eat a whole bunch of something because it is low sugar, or low fat....Portion control is still important.... Good luck, and Enjoy Dorota
