Pre-op meeting
Minty:
Is it a preop meeting with the Doc, or a preop SUPPORT GROUP?
The support group is an essential in the preop process for the patients of Doctors Floch and Ehrlich. Preop patients meet with postop patients (both RNY and Lapband) and the meeting is facilitated by one of the practice's PAs. The preops get to hear more in-depth discussions about post-op life than they may have had the chance to hear at their original seminar.
Questions (about any and all issues and concerns) from preops are encouraged since, as the Syms people like to say, "an educated consumer is our best customer." Basically, the more informed you are about what to expect surgically, postoperatively, and in your new life, the better your success rate will be with whatever procedure you choose.
The meeting usually runs a hour or a few minutes over.
Hope that helps!

Hi
Sorry I wrote the date wrong, its on Friday Nov. 10th. I have met with the doctor, but it was all the way in Feb, I went to the mini group they make you attend. Then I applied for approval and got approved this August, but will not be having the surgery until November 21st..so its been a long lapse of time So I was wondering what the meeting was about on Nov 10th--probably to go over the surgery.
Thanks for all your help!
