Welcome Minty!!! Love the name.... November 21st sounds like a lucky day..... Good Luck on your Journey. I remember being all freaked out before my surgery.....My family was certain I would not go through with it. Even once we got to the hospital, my husband was convinced I would change my mind..Boy, am I glad he was wrong ! Keep reading the posts...This website is a great way to stay in touch and get support. See you on the losing side, Dorota

Hi Minty~ Stick around the CT OH Forum. Great group of people. and ... Let me say WELCOME to your new healthier life. I can confirm for you that you have chosen a surgical TEAM that offers a comprehensive program for it's patients. You will be in good hands with Dr. Neil Floch! He, too, was my surgeon. He dots all his "I's" and crosses all his "T's". He is a cautious man. Takes no chances. And you will have the other 2 (equally precise) surgeons (Dr. Craig Floch & Dr. Tim Ehrlich) there for you if you ever need them...they are all part of a team...a team that will help you regain your health in order to live your life with so much more ease and freedom. I had my surgery in July of '04 (gastric bypass) and my life has improved so much...far beyond what I could have even dreamed of. Believe me when I say...Yours will too! There are many post-op patients willing to help at every step along the journey. The support groups and the people who go to them are wonderful and I think you will find them so helpful. They are invaluable! I encourage you to attend as many as you can (there are 4 available each month). One day at a time... I wish you continued progress. Each part of your journey is worth the effort. Towanda

Actually, *I* prefer the name on your profile (your "full name"): Mintyskittles. Pardon the pun but, it's cool! Well, welcome to the clubhouse/nuthouse, Minty, and congratulations on being so close to your surgery date ! But don't freak out. Relax . . . breathe! What procedure are you having done? Bette

Hi Minty, Welcome to the OH board! You will find lots of very friendly people who are always there for you. It is a great place for support. Congrats on your upcoming surgery!! You are in great hands at FCB, my surgeon is Dr. Ehrlich and I just love everyone in the office and practice. It is only natural to be freakin out!! Don't worry, I am sure everything will be fine! Take care and post if you need support or just to chat! Hugs, Nancy K
