WOW moment
Hi Gang,
Just got back from my business trip to Colorado. Very tiring, long, and I'm exhausted between seminars & the hour changes.
I did manage to work out once at the amazing gym at the resort...whoot whoot! Very sore for sure! Different than what I was used to at CURVES. Sweating at 4am Denver time...LOL
OK....I rode a "bull" LOL (mechanical) and did pretty good AND I climbed 3/4's of the way up a rock climbing wall during the ending celebration party last night. Something I never would have done in a MILLION years before the surgery. I would have done the whole way up if I didn't keep getting stuck in one spot...I tried the darn thing twice!
I really wanted to get to the top of the wall....I can't describe to you all how I felt being able to "pull" myself up & climb...without being hindered by weight. It was such a WOW moment for me.
I woke up this morning sore & happy...I actually climbed higher than some of the "guys". I whipped their butts..LOL...
Overall I did pretty good with the eating. Did have some cheese cake (a few bites) each night..& kept to protein first as much as possible. I feel very dehydrated though & need to ramp up the fluids over the next several days. My eating could have been worse but felt I did good considering I didn't have much of a choice with what was being served.
It's good to be home!
Mickey
Hey Mickey,
Welcome home, it sounds like you had a fantastic time in Colorado. Good for you girl. You deserve it.
Wow rode the bull, thats awesome and climbing the wall must of been an exciting accomplishment for you too, especially beating some of the guys.
You did very good and I am so glad you had a great time. Take care and hope to see you on Saturday at the walk.
Hugs
