Ouch! Bottom Problems!
Terrible topic but, I need some help. What do you do to help constipation? I had surgery in early July, and had a complication and had to have another surgery late August. I get constipated and have used suppositories, but what foods do you eat to help you at this point? Has anyone had this problem? What to do?

Definitely make sure you are getting enough fiber in as well as fluids. I was definitely not getting in all my water which always gave me trouble. I also supplement my vitamin routine with 3 flaxseed capsules/day and I do take stool softeners daily as well. But I really think the roughage and fluids is a big key. Also, once you're a little further out, adding a bit of complex carbohydrates to your diet helps regulate things as well.
Good Luck!

Carla
It's a horrible problem and I can totally relate unfortunately!
I just bought that plum smart juice and have been drinking 6 ounces a day - it seems to be helping a little - that and upping my water. Sometimes I take a couple tablespoons of MOM if I go a day with out success
Prunes are supposed to be helpful - one of my friends SWEARS by wheat germ - she puts a pinch in a drink every day and says it really helps her - I just haven't bought it yet so I can't personally give you my experience with it.
I hope you figure it out because it's not a fun way to live for sure!
