It's late and I really shopuld be headed to bed SOON! BUT, I had to post this. I just got home from Six Flags Great Adventure. It was a WOW DAY! a wow moment just could NOT describe today. My first roller coasters in years!!! And, if you're going to do it, do it right, right?? Hello BATMAN ride. You know the roller coaster where you're strapped into a harness and the track is overhead!!! I looped, twisted and screamed the entire ride. What a feeling of empowerment. Entitlement, the right to do things "normal" sized people do everyday. You see, the last time I went to Great Adventure, I was too fat to ride the rides. To fat to enjoy myself. So fat, that I was asked to get off a ride. I shook it off, and played to feool, even though the friends that I was with wanted to leave after that. I GOT ON THAT RIDE TODAY AND DID IT!!!!! And it felt GOOD damn it! I had an amazing day. Walked all over that park and felt good, proud, able, like everyone else. I hope you all had an awesome day today too. Perhaps you had a wow moment? They're not always as big as the Batman ride, my best one was picking up my foot to tie my shoe without tugging my pant leg to get my foot up. Thanks for listening, Enjoy today, live it and give thanks for it!! All the best, Bob

Oh, Julio, don't those teacups make you sick? THey spin me around and make me I do the train ride around the park!!! Bob's already planning a Disney trip (first for us w/ the kids, I've not been since I was 13) and I already am saying, this will be a waste of time for me. I'll sit on a bench watching all three of you (Bob, who's a huge kid when it comes to rides, and our two kids) ride the rides. I've always gotten ill on all types of rides... Maybe I'll stay at the hotel at the pool all day! paula

Sounds like a good plan Paula, I'm more the "Water Park person now. Always loved them but was afraid to go thru one of those tubes you slide thru and get stuck inside one like Homer did on the Simpsons! Now I slip right on thru! . Not big on heights or acrobatics, am an old man, could break a hip! Have a great time at the Y, sounds like just my speed!

That is really great. Oh what a feeling. I'm afraid of any roller coaster. I'm the "it's a small world" ride person. something safe. no bumps or hills. Have a great holiday. Koukla

Hey Bob, Good for you, buddy!!! I give you credit just for doing a roller coaster! I'm a nauseaus and get sick kind of person on any ride, so, they're not an option for me. I did just go on the swings at my kid's school a while back (now that I fit) and the feeling I got in my stomach now that it's small drove me insane! I'm glad you enjoyed yourself so much. It's something you love to do and now you can do it without limits. Cudos! My recent WOW moment was getting on that airplane and being able to buckle that seatbelt and have room on each side of the armrests! And to walk quickly in front of my group to get a good walk in while they all did an easy stride! Felt SO good. What a great tool we've been given! paula

WOW What a post!! It's so cool how so many people in the world will now be able to know what you are feeling thanks to the miracle of WLS - before WLS only 2% of the population ever got to the point of being able to ride a coaster...... It's also so very cool how grateful and proud you are of your accomplishment - Good for you Bob - thanks for sharing such an uplifting experience!! Best Regards, Tammy P.S. I went to the Woodstock fair and road the kiddie roller coaster with my son - I screamed going around the corner - Those dragon roller coasters can whip pretty fast
