We're back!!! Vacation is over..
Well, our vacation is over and time to get back to the "real world". We got into Bradley late, late on Wed night. We had to wait on the runway in Atlanta for over 2 hours, stuck there, because of bad weather. Bummer.
We got home here to RI about 2am. The kids missed the first two days of school, but, for the vacation they had, it was worth it.
They're going in today.
We had fun. No incidents (except waiting) with the airlines/airports. San Francisco was great, but cool and chilly. Foggy too. We stayed with Bob's Aunt and got to go to China Town one day, walked the Golden Gate another, Alcatraz yet another, and went to Muir Woods, where the huge Redwoods stand. It was beautiful. Went to a really funny broadway type show, called Beach Blanket Babylon and it was hysterical. Saw Bob's cousins and their families and also got to visit with my own nephew that lives in SF too.
It's a lot to travel with two small kids, but, they were good and had fun too.
As far as eating went, neither Bob nor I went over the top. We ordered healthy meals and ate properly. Except for the occassional sweet here and there, just a taste would do! Did lots of walking and it felt great. Especially in Muir woods where we hicked mountain trails amongst the giant redwoods.
Glad to be back, though. Today is a day of unpacking and washing. TWO huge suitcases of dirty clothes, YIKES. It was SO cold out there, we had to buy fleece jackets to wear.
Hope you all missed me terribly!!! I missed you all. My great support network.
AND, yes, fitting into the airplane seat felt the BEST of all...clicked in the seatbelt with excess belt to tighten. YIPPEE! And, my hips didn't bang into people when I walked to the bathroom.
Talk to you all later on!

Hey Girl Welcome Home
We missed you here on the boards. I am so very glad to hear you had such a wonderful vacation. Good for you and Bob. Long time coming. I know that feeling. Its an awesome feeling to be able to enjoy life again.
Sounds like you went to some very cool places. I would love to get out there someday and see the sights. My husband and I love to travel and we want to see so many places here in the US. Especially Arizona, New Mexico and California. I would love to see the Midwest too.
Well my dear have a great weekend and welcome back again. Take care.
Hugs
