Please...I need good vibes sent my way!!!!!!

As I type, my Dr's office is following up with Highmark BC/BS about my appeal. Last week, the Dr's office said that the case worker from the insurance just wanted to see my 6mo. nutrition info and was still adiment that Lap-Band was not FDA approved. We got both the nutrition info to her and proof of FDA approval and she was still saying that they still considered it investigational/experimental....but...the case worker was going to the medical review board anyway to see if they might change their mind. So, my Dr's office is calling her today to see what's going on. I have a real bad feeling that I'm going to be denied AGAIN..but...I'm praying for a miracle. I need all the good vibes I can get. I want that phone to ring and my life to start changing. I am so ready for this. I have written this kick-butt appeal too. My goodness, the work that went into that thing!!! I'm such a tremendously positive personal normally but these denials are really hard to bounce back from. I must have cried for 3 hours straight after the 1st one. Thanks for the good vibes. Gina

Hey Gina, It's just as easy to be positive as it is to be negative so keep the faith young lady! Hoping you get your wish and if you don't may want to look at the other options. Take care and the Very Best of Luck!

Good luck!!!!! I am in a similar situation.... I've been denied twice.. and it was totally heartbreaking.. and the insurance company just messes with my head. They require the 6 mo of nutritionist crap also.. but I didn't know it had to be in a ROW.. ughhh.. they never were specific so my last apt with that will be in OCT. Well.. I will keep you in my thoughts!!!! Email anytime!
