Last Sunday during inventory at my store after 2 days of vomiting, I could no longer keep any liquids down. Had to leave in the middle of my inventory and drive to Norwalk for a CT scan. Gotta love Dr. Floch!!! I kept apologizing to him for keeping him at the hospital and he said I wasn't the only one, with a wink and a smile of course. After the CT scan, he came back into the room to tell me I have the best looking pouch he's ever seen. No leaks, no tears, no blockages no nothing. Now we are all mega concerned because I can't keep any food down. I went from loving food to hating food in a matter of 3 months. At any rate, I made an appointment to see Dr. Verma, gastro in NL. Waited over an hour to tell them that Dr. Floch wants me to have an upper GI done. Of course they don't believe him and want to ask you all kinds of questions you've already answered 4 different times only to come up with the same conclusion. Yep, you need an upper GI. Well it seems as if it is either a peptic ulcer, or a stricture in the esophigel area (did I spell that right?) or I am just going to be on liquid Isopure for the rest of my life. Trust you me that I didn't sign up for any of this, but I knew that there was going to be things that weren't going to go right along the way too. As my hubby says, of course theres a problem, your high maintenance remember??? All the while he rubs my back kisses my head and reminds me that the easier times are right around the corner. Who could feel miserable with a guy like that making sure you remember how much you are loved??? Just wanted to vent a little bit, but also share with those who know where I am coming from!! Jen

Hi Jen, Just wanted to let you know that I am going through the same thing! Last Tuesday I started vomiting and didn't stop until Friday. I too am thankful for Dr. Floch- but the other one..Neil They are both very caring and compassionate. I gave the Dr. a call and he insisted on getting an upper GI. As we all thought it was yet another peptic ulcer. Take it from me, you won't be on liquid Isopure for the rest of your life. After just a few days on Prevacid and Zantac I can assure you I feel much better and am now able to keep my meals down where they belong. Your hubby sounds a lot like mine. ( We both are pretty lucky!!) Hang in there- you'll be feeling better in no time at all. Good luck and feel better!
