I just wanted to let everyone know that the September 17th Walk From Obesity in Bridgeport/Fairfield County has been cancelled....the walk was cancelled do to the lack of volunteers and support....BUT A REAL GOOD THING IS: Many of the peope that were going to walk in the Bridgeport/Fairfield County walk, will be walking on September 30th at the Hammanassett State Park in Madison, CT... I ask you all for your support to come out and walk with us and have a great time for a cause that we have all been supporting....for the people not knowing how to register, you can go to : www.walkfromobesity.com and register in CT for the Greater Connecticut walk....it will be a great day and lots of fun....i am looking forward to meeting lots of new friends...if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me as I am now on that committee..thanks for your support and everyone keep going on your new journey...Rose Vizzo-Davino

Carla, Could you please email me the registration form? I can't do much these days, but I can walk. As long as I don't have surgery on my shoulder, I should be able to make the walk. I miss my OH friends. Maggie

Maggie!!! How've you been??? Long time no see. Hope you are doing well - what's up with the shoulder??? Well, I certainly hope you can make the walk - would be great to see you! Registration is online - just go to walkfromobesity.com and navigate to our walk (Greater CT walk) and follow screens for registering. You can also have people pledge you right online this year as well. If the online registration isn't working or you prefer to mail it - you can print the form right from the site. Let me know if you have any trouble with it. Take care!! Hugs, Carla

I'm doing much better Carla, thanks for asking. It appears that I have a tear in my rotator cuff, a bucket tear and osteochondritis in my right shoulder. It's frozen now as well because it's been going on now for six months. Very painful. One of these days I'm really going to be able to enjoy my wls and just feel good. LOL... Mike and I are really going to try and make it for the walk and to see all of you. Thanks for the information. Maggie

Kathy, It would be great to get together with everyone and anyone who wants to. I'm pretty mobile and can get out. I'd invite everyone here, but I can't do much housework and my house is not really acceptable for company. Mike is a wonderful husband, but we have two very diffrent ideas about what clean is. Maggie

Hi Rosemarie I am in physical therapy three times a week now. I don't seem to be getting anywhere. I go on Sept. 12 for a second opinion. I'm hoping to be able to avoid surgery, but it's not looking to good. It is very painful. The worse is trying to sleep. Any ideas on how to get comfortable at bedtime? Maggie
