I agree with all the others.. Dr. A is amazing. I have always felt 100% sure with my life in his hands. He knows his stuff. You need to find a dr. you feel that way with. Good luck to you. It will happen. Keep working on it! Hugs, Chrissy

Jen, My surgery was denied at first. I did not write a letter of appeal as I felt that this is the way it was supposed to be. Low and behold about 5 months later or even more, I get a letter from BC/BS saying the doctor has appealed the decision and I was approved. Almost a year to the day later, I was banded. My doctor's office did all the work for me. I am thankful for that. Good luck to you.

My hubby went with me to my 1 year follow-up in July and inquired about having the surgery himself and my surgeon told him that Connecticare was one of the first insurance companies to drop gastric bypass surgery....shame on them!!! So it probably has nothing to do with you, it's just that Connecticare is no longer covering the surgery
