Fighting the PS battle
Hi guys,
I've been so very busy with work, etc. Sorry for not being more active on the boards. I've settled down in the mid 150's, up and down a few. I'm trying for a TT. I sent all the required documents to CIGNA, denied. So, I appealed, denied again. I sent in a 3-page letter from me, one from my PCP, my OBGYN, my gastric bypass surgeon, and from Dr. Pan, the plastic surgeon. Denied, denied, denied. I even took very graphic photos and sent those too.
For anyone with CIGNA, some advise. Start early documenting any rashes, discomfort, or issues that the panni prevents you from daily activity. The only document I'm missing was the evidence that the rashes were an issue. Every time you go to a doctor if plastics are in your future, make sure you get a prescription for cream to clear up any rashes.
Now I need to go to a dermatologist for the next 6 months to get documented evidence. What a pain and disappointment.
Hi Paula
I got approved for panni by insurance but paid out of pocket for breast lift and upper abs (tighten stomach) Julio and MaryJo got approved for panni but they ended paid out of pocket for upper abs ( tighten stomach) but it is better than nothing. I am praying foryou to get approved for panni for yourself. I got approved right away with no problem. My insurance is Federal blue cross Blue Shield
Next year it will be your turn Great 2007 for you

Kathy, I was just wondering who did your panni surgery and what exactly do I have to complain of in order to get the TT done? I have State preferred Anthem blue cross blue shield. I am a state employee and our insurance pays for just about everything but i'm not sure about the TT..................Shana.
