I'M BACK!!!
Hello everyone,
Okay did you all miss me this week, even though I was away I did check in once in awhile from the hotel. Well let me tell you I had one of the most fantastic vacations in a very long time.
We went to Busch Gardens in VA, Colonial Williamsburg and Chesepeake Bay Bridge in Virginia Beach too. I actually went on rides for the first time in a long time and it felt so great. My daughter was so excited and so proud of her mother. I fit in the seats and did not get overheated, tired or achy like two years ago. I walked the whole park for three full days and enjoyed every moment.
I thank god so much for giving me the strength to have this surgery and to succeed in my journey to the losing side. I still have along way to go, but so far I am doing great. My husband kept looking back to see if I was keeping up and was so amazed that I was even walking past him. I use to be miles behind, winded and sitting down every five minutes. NOT THIS TIME!!!!!
I drank lots of fluids all week and was not very hungry. I did mostly salads or fruit during the day. Had a good breakfast in the AM and a very small dinner of proteins. I was amazed at how full I was so quickly and how not hungry I was. I use to be able to eat an appetizer, meal and dessert and still be hungry. NOT ANYMORE!!!!!! I did so much walking and swimming too, it felt awesome.
I went on a few of the water rides I couldn't go on last time, I went on the new ride Dark Castle 4D wild ride, Corkscrew Hill 4D wild ride and saw a 4D Show about pirates with Leslie Neilsen and one of the guys from Monty Python, it was cute. Did the water ride Escape from Pompeii and Roman Rapids Raft ride. It was awesome. I even climbed up on a carousel horse. It felt so great not having to sit on the sidelines and watch everyone else have fun. I got to participate this time!!!
I would do this surgery again in a heartbeat, it saved my life and made me love life again. Seeing the faces on my husband and daughter and knowing how proud of me they were made me feel overwhelmed. Its a great feeling.
It was a scorcher down there this week too. The heat index was as high as 120 and the temperature was as high as 106 degrees. I dealt with it and handled it very well, two years ago I would of probably ended up passed out.
I hope you all survived the storms this week I heard alot of people lost power and it was pretty intense. My coworker told me Orange got it pretty bad, they opened my office for emergencies, which of course would happen when I am away. I heard trees were down and the storm went through pretty quick. I knew we had lost power in Milford, when we got home our clocks were flashing. Oh well, we go away and the weather goes bonkers.
Well I hope everyone is having a great weekend and keeping cool. Take care all and hope you did not miss me too too much.
Hugs
KimC
Hi KiM:
Glad to hear you and your family had a good time and made it back safely. I wish I was with you!! I used to live about 2 hrs west of Williamsburg, near Charlottesville, in Waynesboro.
I'm trying to find some time to get back down there to visit some friends.
Glad you're home but ha ha, you have to go back to work on Monday (probably).
Enjoy the rest of the weekend!!
Bob
