I have been watching this forum for quite a while now. I even posted a couple of times. I've been very active on the Over Fifty forum but only checked here every day. But tonight, you lucky people , I have decided to become more active here in my home state. I see so many posts from people going to Dr Aranow or to the Drs Floch. Has anyone here gone to St Raphael's in NH? I think all of these drs are sent from heaven. I haven't heard many complaints on this board. After my surgery, I will be going to St Raph's for my support group meetings. I've also been thinking of going some nights in Norwalk. Norwalk is my home town. My mom and sister live a hop, skip and a jump from the hospital. I'd be able to visit mom more often. I see her on weekends, but as she gets older (she's 84), I would like to be with her more often. My niece had her surgery done in Norwalk about 3 years ago and has done wonderfully. She was very pleased with the surgeons. So, you will find that I am long winded to a fault. I'm glad to be here finally. hugs, Linda

Thanks Tammy. I'll be coming your way tomorrow. My youngest son and his wife live in Broad Brook and my son is a jet mechanic for a company located at the airport. Tomorrow is their wedding anniversary so I am going to watch the baby while they go out. It's difficult with them that far. My g-son is only 4 months old. With the price of gas and my Mom in Norwalk, I don't know where to go 1st. That's why i want to attend the Norwalk meetings. hugs, linda

Hi Linda, I had my surgery at St. Rays and they are great there. I had Dr. Nazdam from Orchard Medical group and their staff are great. The Nurses at the hospital are also very helpful and try their best to make your stay comfortable. Good luck and sucess on your surgery!
