A day at the beach WOW!
Went to Rocky neck state park beach for the second time this month with my 5 year old grandson. This has been a first for me, I haven't been to a beach in maybe 8 years. IT was just wonderful, beautiful and even relaxing and my grandson had a blast too! Maybe by next year I will dare to get a swimsuit and go in the water!
Hope everyone is having a great summer.

You know Julio?
I still to this day have that "fat?" fear of being out in public freely.
babysteps I guess huh?
It amazes me how morbid obesity can make some of us prisoners in our own bodies.
I am working at coming out into the world with abandon.
This is a lesson for me.
Thanks for being an example and reminding us that it can (and must) be done!

Hey T,First off you look Fantastic! We have to remember while we are alot smaller onthe outside we are still the same folks inside and just know your were just as special when you were heavier as you are now! Frankly if someone doesn't like the way you look they can turn their head or go step out in front of a moving bus! Never, Ever let anyone define who you are! So get out there you "Sexy Thing"!
Hi Sher,
The beach is an excellent place to just "be". Living at the ocean (and now I've come to take it for granted) give me a calm. I can sit there and watch my kids frolick in the water and just enjoy the nature of it all.
Someday, venture to the Rhode Island beaches where they're bigger, less rocky and not that much further away! No trains, either!
I'm glad that you go to experience that freedom in going to the beach again.
Somedays, I just go down in my shorts and tee shirt, not always in a swimsuit. If someone doesn't like my severely dimpled legs, it's their problem, not mine! Plus, I don't think they're really staring that much. They're having too much fun on their own!
Even the skinny minnies had dimples too!
