Good evening, Towanda. I did attend Tuesday's support meeting. I was sitting to the right of Mary. Nice to hear from you. I've read many of your postings and have watched your progress. What scares me is that the weight can come back on. That really scares me. I'm almost through the full liquid stage and can't wait for coffee and cottage cheese. I don't even like cottage cheese! Where were you sitting?

Kathy, Four years ago, along with a hernia repair I had a panneculectomy(sp) which is actually a tummy tuck by a different name. I had many complications, however, the drain removal was less uncomfortable than I expected. My surgeon said take a deep breath and it was over. Not bad at all. Did your insurance cover the tuck and lift? I am considering this when I lose my weight as I am having a major hernia repair again. I am 1 week out form lap band surgery. The lift will be necessary as I am quite busty and at 63 there is no way to keep them up! Good luck to you and one day I will be in your place. Sheri R.

Sheri~ Welcome to the world of FCB post op life! Did I meet you per chance at the support group meeting this past Tuesday at Norwalk Hospital? And yes! at 56 my "girls" are not as perky as they use to be! But the weight loss is worth some hanginess! Good luck with your journey. Towanda

Pulling the drains out is uncomfortable, yet very swift. Feels like a snake is running through you. Ask the nurse or PA if you can hold their hand. Before you know it the drains will be out! You will be fine. T.

Hi Kathy, I had a talk with my Plastic Surgeon yesterday to firm up a date for my surgery. Shooting for the week of Thanksgiving to have it done. We talked about going on a liquid diet the first couple of weeks after surgery. I told them I didn't have a problem with it as I had done it after the bypass surgery and it wasn't a big deal . Hoping to keep the "B.M.'s" down to a minimum the first couple of weeks. They will keep me in the hospital the first night to make sure everything is ok . I will be geting a couple of drains as well and yupp, whenthey take them out it feels like a snake is running around inside you for a few seconds. I'm with you the feeling is terrible but thankfully, very quick! Was wondering if they told you how much excess skin they removed as far as weight go's. My doctor told me for the Tummy tuck, it's about 8 pounds. Every little bit helps! Hope your resting comfortably and doing your best not to try to excersize! Know its making you crazy but you will be back at it in no time! Take Care,
