Dr. Barba Support Group Tonight

I wanted to go, but it just didnt work with my schedule this month. I will try my best to get to the next one. let me know how it goes. I am curious with all the new staff in there. Today I had to change an appt I had and I had to call this # and leave a msg for someone else and then a woman called me back.....gee...what ever happened to calling Rachel and just switching the appt??? Hi Bree - The support group went good - it was Amy's last support group before her surgery on Monday - I'm really glad I went. Honore did a great job facilitating the meeting and Dr. Barba showed up and talked to everyone - it was very informal. I bought some really cool measuring cups for $5 that I really like - Honor said they would keep some at the office..... They talked about the walk from Obesity for September. Oh and Dr. Barba is going to start doing surgery from New Britain Hospital as well as St. Francis and they are going to eventually be moving their office to Farmington - he said there is a new building being built near the Farmington Medical center - I don't go that way very often so I don't know where he's talking about - part of me is bummed that it will be further away - but it sounds like it will be much easier with parking and it's an easy on and off the highway location they were saying - besides hopefully by next year I won't be going there too often! That's a strange new process for appointment changes - I wonder if it was a permanent process change or temporary...... There was a woman there answering phones and making appointments and stuff when I was there for my last fill - but maybe they're trying something new.....?? How is everything going? I am at 2.2 cc and I'm thinking this might be a good spot for me to be - I'm not sure if it's the "sweet spot" but I think I'm getting close!! Now if my knee would just cooperate so I could exercise! Wish I could go to the group, not able to tonight. I am also quite upset with Dr. Barba's office staff as I called last week on Tuesday and friday and left messsages with phyllis and to date 7/25/06 not one person has returned my call. I have a question in regard to my insurance. I am very apprehensive about working with this doctor as his office is not run very well after a week no phone call. I hope others have better luck. I realize he just got all new office staff but new patients should not be totally ignored. Enjoy the group, perhalps someone could mention to the staff they should follow-up phone calls.
