Almost 2 weeks on the loser's bench!
Hello everyone! I had Lap-RNY 2 weeks ago tomorrow and I'm back to work today. I'm feeling fantastic! I went in expecting it to be really painful and a miserable recovery and I am pleasantly surprised at how great I'm feeling! My c-section last year (emergency with lots of other complications) was a rough recovery, I was expecting that at the least, but this was a breeze compared. I am so thankful that it's been easy for me, I know that for many it's not. Dr. Ehrlich was fantastic, he is such a great guy! He said that my surgery was "awesome" (his exact word) and that my liver was nice and tiny so it made his job easy. His office staff is great too, but the residents that come to check on you at 5:30am were grating on my nerves- LOL!
I'm on my last day of the Stage 2 diet and can't wait for tomorrow morning to start Stage 3! I'm really getting bored wtih the liquids! As of my follow up with Dr. Ehrlich last week I am down 10 pounds from the day of surgery, and another 10 pounds from my first appointment- I am really excited! I need to put the scale away though because I have been weighing every day.... and noticed that I've been the same since last Thursday. I definitely need to realize that weighing so often is not a good thing for me, and do once a week, or better yet, just wait until my next appointment in 3 weeks! Easier said than done.... I'm hoping to make it to the support group on the 26th at St. Vincents so maybe I'll see some of you there!
