Went to my informational seminar on Thursday last week, a little scary at first did't know what to expect. Dr. Barba and Dr. Giovanni gave a very good presentation. The personnel from the doctors office where also on hand and seemed quite nice. I was a little overwhelmed with all the paperwork given at the seminar, but am determined to give myself the gift of good health, so I am working hard to get everything needed to attain my goal. The seminar was my first step I am now proceding with the paperwork and consults, plus trying to get appointment with nutrionist. Just thought I would share this, thank you to all that gave me good information prior to the seminar especially Arline. Kathi

Good for you Kathi! Take your time and ask plenty of questions so if you do decide to go thru with this your mind will be at ease. The "Journey" is definitly worth the work involved and the rewards are many. Take care and good luck!

Kathy~ Welcome to your new journey. Admittedly, one that can be kind of scary in the beginning... for many reasons. But as Julio says, all worth the effort. I remember I was a wreck the first seminar I went to. My nutritionist came with me I was so nervous. So just take each step of the process one leg at a time. You will then be able to make the decision that is best for you. Listen to your heart... and remember this... YOU ARE IMPORTANT. And the CT forum is here for you to help you along the way. Towanda

Hi Kathi, I wanted to say good luck on your journey and make sure you ask lots of questions. If at any time you are uncomfortable with the answer, just remember there are many other surgeons out there. I think I went to 3 seminars and a few office visits before I found a good fit for me with a surgeon. I know the paperwork can be overwhelming but in the end it will be well worth it! Take Care, Nancy K

Congratulations Kathi! It will seem like forever when you'r going through all those appointments, but it does really go by quickly (the hindsight thing ya' know). One of the best things I did at the beginning was to start a folder to keep all the information in one place - including appointment cards, phone numbers, who I talked to and when, etc. - Being organized helped me feel a little more incontrol - of course you might already be one of those organized type people! Best of luck on your journey! May it go smoothly for you! Tammy
