Can anyone please please please suggest a protein shake or something for me to take that isn't going to make me sick???? I'm on stage 4 so I am wondering if I could do a bar?? The isopure made me vomit - disgusting!!! Then I went to GNC and bought some protein powder for a shake, it was a banana flavor, OMG it was delicious, ended up laid up for 3 days with constipation, gas and having to down 1/2 a bottle of MOM. I keep reading about everyones deficiencies and I don't want to end up like that. HELP!!!!!! Jen

Hi Jen, I use the GNC "Isolate" protien powder in chocolat flavor and it works ok for me. Protien shakes are a hit and miss thing for most of us, . What some of us love makes others sick. Try getting samples from different people till you can find one you can tolerate, till then just stick to waht works for now be in the suger free carnation instant breakfast of any other protien rich food you can keep down. At stage 4 I was putting all kind of things in my food processor and turning them into baby food. From steak to hotdogs. Watch the chicken as in my case I had to add a bit of Fat Free Mayo to make it moist enough to keep down. Goof Luck, Julio

Unjury powder is probably one of the best protein powders you can ever have (in my opinion) They have unflavored and some flavors. You can order it at: www.unjury.com You can also order samples to see if you can stomach it. Paula

I second Paula's vote for Unjury - it blends really smooth and doesn't have a nasty after taste - the only one that I really, really didn't like was the new strawberry one that mixes with water (my husband like it though). The vanilla and chocolate are awesome, I blend them in my bullet with a couple of ice cubes and it's great! Best of luck finding the shake that works for you, there is one out there! Tammy

have you tried the Stallvester Stallon pudding from GNC? Their Chocolete isn't bad. Smash some bananas in it and try that maybe. But like Julia said the Carnation Instant breakfast is the safest. and to get more protein in it I also added some egg beater to it. Just a suggestion. Good luck . This stage will pass soon enough. Really. Koukla

Hi Jen, I struggled with the shakes & was limited to my choices due to allergies. I switched over to Slim Fast Optima...low sugar/carb. It's made with milk protein and it wasn't that bad. Sugar is pretty low so it shouldn't cause too much dumping. Not sure if your lactose intolerant or not so may want to experiment with it. MIckey

Hi Jennifer I was just banded on July 3rd and am having a terrible time with the protein shakes. Most of them make me gag and I'm trying hard not to get sick from them. I'm still on stage 3 for another two weeks. Dr. A stated at my two week follow up that I have to get my protein in or my hair will start to fall out in clumps, I will try the others mentiioned on this site. Hopefully one will work for us. Any other advice you or others have I would appreciate it. Thanks~
