Protein Bar Withdrawl???

My legs, arms, fingers and toes are all tinglely. This started last night. The only difference I can think of in my life is that I have been eating mostly granola bars instead of protein bars this past week. (They were on sale! And they are low sugar with 5 grams of fiber. But of course, they only have 3 grams of protein) Is it possible that I am feeling a difference so quickly? Just in case, I bought some SB bars today at Stop & Stop. And I will go back to my protein ritual ASAP. Just wondering what could be causing this???

Hi Christine, Watch those Granola Bars, They are not at al what they are cracked up to be! Stick with your Protien plan from before. Know it's hard but we have to get all our protien in to keep functioning! Hope your feeling better soon!

Christine: The symptoms you are having may just be a coincidence with the timing of your protein bar "withdrawl". It sounds more like you might want to investigate a deficiency of some sort. When was the last time you had bloodwork done? If I am correct (not a nutritionist) my memory banks tell me that B levels being low can cause tingling. Might be time to check with your nutritionist on this. And I do agree with Julio, protein (and good sources of it) are primary. The granola bars are simply not enough for us. Me? I have to stay away from the protein bars all together (for the most part). They simply are too yummy (and call out to me too strongly) and I need real food to feel satisfied. Good luck. Hope you feel better soon. Towanda
