Oh my goodness....I think I was a little shy...I really did not get to meet people...I was playing with the kids, and we went to the beach with Tawanda and her hubby....when we came back, everybody had left.......And I really did feel a little too shy to meet people in person....I don't know why..probably because I cant put the faces together with the names on line and have no idea who anyone is....It takes me a couple times of meeting people before I am able to socialize......sorry everybody...But the kids and I had a great time, fun playing football, monkey in the middle, on the wet grass....Fun in the water with the tube....Thanks to all who organized it...I am glad you did not cancel the event due to the weather... Love, Dorota

Dorota, watching you playing out there with your kids reminded me of your posting of being on the trampoline and how you were laying on it and surrounded by your laughing children! You have done so well and are the picture of the rewards we can reap as we continue our "Journey's" Bless you and your family!

Oh, Julio, it is being able to do things like that that makes it all worthwhile....I, like everybody else. have my difficulties on this journey, but the rewards just keep piling up....That's why it's so important to keep on top of things,, keep up with the exersize, eat the right things, and not lose control over eating like I know I can....My food issues are still there, and dealing with them is by far the most difficult part of my journey....But attending support groups, therapy groups, and staying in touch with my wls friends makes it easier...In the meantime, I am enjoying life, enjoying my children, and feeling greatful for another chance..... I remember how devastated I was when I finally decided to have weight loss surgery...I felt like such a failure, because I had not been able to do it on my own, because i had to resort to surgery...A part of me felt like that meant I was giving up on myself.... Weird.... Now I know that I did not give up...Quite the opposite...I took control, admitted to myself that I needed help, and took a courageous step. My children were on the top of my list of the reasons I had surgery...I wanted to be there for them, to have an active role in their lives.....And I do......... Thank God love, Dorota sorry to run on like this

Man having to work weekends sure can stink- it sounds like you guys had a blast despite the monsoon. The pictures were great- you all look amazing. I am "in training" for the September walk- I will be there definitely- I plan to take the day off- to me it's a victory walk- it will mark the one year (well it was September 9th) anniversary of my first appointment with Dr. Aranow- I intend to walk tall and proud.... Cyndee and Michelle don't forget to include me in your get togethers- I am out in Andover- heck Cyndee if you have extra kids you don't know what to do with - bring them to the McBride Petting Zoo- my house- we have 35 chickens, 6 sheep, 6 rabbits, 17 cats and a dog. LOL never a dull moment.
