Support groups in the New Haven/Milford area

Hi Paul - I am still pre-op, but Dr. Rheinhold is my surgeon. I attended a couple of seminars at St. Raph's. When going in, I passed a room full of people. I was told that it was a support group and I would be attending post-op. Why don't you call the office? I'm sure they'll be able to tell you when the groups meet. Linda

If you are willing to travel (against the heavy traffic flow) to Norwalk, you could attend our post-op support group meetings. We meet on the first Wednesday of every month starting at 6 pm in the first floor volunteer conference room. We also meet on the third Monday of every month (also at 6 pm) in the fourth floor pediatric conference room. Our meetings are free and open to the public (whether or not Norwalk Hospital patients), are peer-lead and are an opportunity to share our successes and struggles, offer some encouragement and practical advice to one another and try to gain some perspective that we need to be committed to a truly lifelong change in our relationship with food.
