Hi, All! Sorry this post is so late, but the last few days have been quite hectic. It was for good things though, so that's OK. Tomorrow, 6/12, is the 2nd Mon. of the month, so the support group meeting at Middlesex Hospital in Middletown (6:30 - 7:30 p.m.) will be for both pre- and post-ops. The meeting will consist of general discussion, questions and answers. Most attendees are patients of Dr. Aranow, but anyone is welcome. After the meeting, a number of us usually go to dinner. Anyone who's interested (pre- or post-op) is welcome to join us. And if you'd rather eat dinner before, the restaurants we go to don't mind if you just have something to drink (even jus****er). The point of going out isn't the food, it's the additional support and the opportunity to get to know each other better. As a pre-op I found it helpful to see how post-ops at various stages out from surgery handled eating in a restaurant. It reassured me that life could still be normal after WLS, albeit a new version of "normal". If you need directions, pls. e-mail me. Debby
