That happens to me if I have managed to have sodium laced food a few days in a row, but not "super bloated" as a rule because usually I keep those foods to a minimum.------ Jesse

I dont get super bloated when I get my period,,,for some reason I get super bloated about one week after my period is over...I hate it...feel like a cow too....It sucks...and my weight goes up my as much as 8 pounds the week after my period,,,never fails, no matter what I do,,,,,,,,always goes back down after a week or so, but in the meantime...ugh...i've tried diuretics to get rid of the bloating....no help....no use....I tried drinking lots and lots of liquids,,,no use....I cut out the salt...no use...that's just how my body works..... Keep your spirits up... (hey spirits, probably the only thing I haven't tried to get rid of the bloating..hahahaha) Love, Dorota

Hi There, My periods are AWFUL...with bloating & cramping since my Weight loss. It usually happens the week before and I carry it through until the last day of my period...UGH... I try to get more liquids in....I haven't tried any over the counter stuff like Midol or pamprin to see if it will help. Just try to ride it out. Not to give TMI but my bowels are TOTALLY backed up during these two weeks and right before my period ends...WALA...Mount Rushmore...swear to God I lose 10 pounds..LOL My PCP says my body will adjust itself once all the weight loss is finished and right now needs to "catch up" with where I weigh now... The joys of being a girl...Bleck... Mickey

I'm sorry I can't give you any info on this since I have'nt had the pleasure of a period in several years. I'm sure things will straigten out eventually if not discuss with your obgyn doctor. Sher

Dear Antonietta, I've always gained up to 10 lbs with my period. Doesn't matter what I do, it's just how I am. Since I've gained so much weight, I don't notice the bloating. All my clothes are large and baggy. However, I do remember that when I was very thin and wore tight jeans, I used to have to were them a size or 2 bigger during that time. Since my lap band surgery, I'm losing weight slowly. I haven't noticed any change. Esther R
