Hi All, I got a urinary track infection in the hospital. I was sent home with meds that I am supposed to crush and take for the next few days. Does anyone have any little tricks to getting this down, it just tastes so horrible. I tried with SF Jello last night... not so much. Any hints would be greatly appriciated. Thanks Terri

when I have to take it like that I put it with light yogert [any flavor] and it really covers the taste because the yogert is creamy. Hope this helps make the medicine go down Theresa.-----Jesse

How big is the pill??? I had a pill I had to take and instead of crushing it, I just split it into 4 or 6 small pieces and took it that way. This way, no bitter taste. Swallow one piece at a time. Hope this helps. paula

Hi Theresa, I had some horrible tasting pills that I used to crush and fold into some suger free applesauce. Wasn't perfect but was able to get them down. Good Luck!

Terri, I had one a few weeks out after surgery and I went to my gyno. She prescribed a powdered, one dose only anitbiotic just for UTI. Mix it with 2 oz of water. Now the problem is the exact name. I want to say Manoril, but I'm not exactly sure. Took it just once and felt better in about 4 hours. Maybe call the pharmacy and they can tell you what it is. Tee
