CT Plastic Surgery???

Hi everyone... I've almost reached -100 lbs (so very close to my personal goal)... and just starting on my journey through plastic surgery. I will most likely need body contouring -- my tummy is just a gross wrinkly pouch of saggy skin hiding my poor long-lost belly button, my butt and thighs are droppy, and my poor boobs are a lost cause. Plus all the loose skin has been giving me alot of problems lately... Anyways, my PCP recommended a plastic surgeon for me -- I checked him out a little but can't really find ANY info on him... and I'm just 'not feeling it' with him, if you know what I mean. For those of you who have had PS done... who is your surgeon, and why did you pick him/her??? Also, does anyone know anything about Dr. Borkowski??? And, which doctors are good about helping to get insurance approval (BCBS)??? I don't even know where to begin!! Thanks in advance for ANY helpful tips!! -Carol Jean 250/159/140

Dr Aranow reccomends Dr Borkowski for his patients- also several of the post-ops at the monthly support group I attend have had or are having surgery with him, another good PS is Dr Castiglione, out of Hartford. He's the choice for many in helathcare who know of him.

I can vouch for Dr. Charles Castiglione out of CT Surgical Group in Hartford. He operates at Hartford Hospital. He is just wonderful. He did my surgery and several surguries on a WLS friend of mine. I also saw Dr. Borkowski for a consult. I liked him a great deal. He was a very nice man.

I am having a TT and breast lift with Dr. Borkowski. I went to see several PS's in the CT area, and he was the best cost effective. He submitted to my ins BC/BS and I got approved for the TT within two weeks, but got denied for Breast Lift. Just to let u know the Ins is paying $1500 for the TT, but his fee is $4500 so I have to pay the difference. But other PS's I went to see didn't even want to bother submitting to the ins. He is a great man! But I have to say his staff sucks! I call and they are always like, "we'll call you back" and never call. Also for the breast initially I got denied because insurance requested more info and the office staff never sent it. So when i called his office, his staff kept giving me the run around about sending the info etc etc, Then they couldnt find my file...I mean it goes on and on. They are just terrible... I thought about mentioning this to Dr. Borkowski but then decided not to because if he mentions it to them I dont want any retaliation from them. I do have to continue going to the office since I am having surgery with him. Of all the PS, I visited i liked him best. So anyways that is all if you want any additional info you can e-mail me.
