Support Group Meetings Mon. & Tues.

Hi, All! Sorry this post is later in the week than usual, but I've been out of town. Next week is the 1st full week of June, so there are 3 meetings for me to tell you about. Mon., 6/5, is the 1st Mon. of the month, so there'll be meetings at both Middlesex Hospital in Middletown (6:30 - 7:30 p.m.) and at the Hamden Senior Center (behind the Miller Library, on Dixwell Ave., 6:30 - 8 p.m.). The Middlesex meeting is for pre-ops only and is the one-time, required meeting run by Dr. Aranow's program dietician and psychologist. That same night, the Hamden group will meet. The group isn't affiliated with any doctor or hospital and is run by a couple of post-ops. Both pre- and post-ops are welcome although most attendees are post-ops. Tues., 6/6, is the 1st Tues. of the month, so it's time for the monthly post-op only support group meeting at Middlesex Hospital (6:30 - 7:30 p.m.). Although most attendees are patients of Dr. Aranow, any post-op is welcome. This will be the last such meeting on a Tues. night. Starting in July, the post-op only meeting will be held on the 3rd Mon. of the month. As usual, a bunch of us will be going to dinner after the Tues. meeting. Even if you'd rather eat before, think about joining us and just having something to drink. The point of going out isn't the food, it's the additional support and opportunity to get to know each other better or catch up with each other.
