I am intersted in knowing the amount of each food item ie. ounces or cups of foods people are eating when they list food diary items. I am not quite 2 months postop and want to know approximate amounts that people are eating after they are 6mth to 1 year or more postop?? Thanks Sher

Hi Sher. I stick pretty much to 3oz's of protien with a little veggie or carb as far as food go's. Be it cheese, or meat, or fish. Eating slow is key in both eating properly as well as not getting sick from overeating. It just becomes habit. I have lerned not to eat if I am having a heated discussion as I end up eating too fast and that just leads to Hope I was able to help, have a great day and keep up the good work!

Thanks for your reply. It was helpful. I have to be carefull to eat slow, already forgetting that my stomach is different than it was before surgery have had a couple of those up chuck issues. Sher

Hi there I am a year out and probably eat 4-5 oz of food at a time depending on what it is. Steak would be more like 3 oz, tuna fish would be more like 4 ozs and then a bit of veggies or something on the side. Most of what I eat is protein: meat, eggs, dairy as well as protein bars and shakes. I eat more than many posts ops though I exercise alot and require more carbs due to reactive hypoclemia. So when the time comes, work with your Nut. on figuring out what is a good plan for you. Good luck!
