Hi, All! This coming Mon., 5/22, is the 4th Mon. of the month, so the support group meeting at Middlesex Hospital in Middletown (6:30 - 7:30 p.m.) will feature a panel of post-ops presenting their stories and answering questions. Although the meeting is primarily for pre-ops, some of us post-ops attend anyway to support our friends on the panel. Most attendees are patients of Dr. Aranow, but anyone is welcome. After the meeting, a number of us usually go to dinner. Anyone who's interested (pre- or post-op) is welcome to join us. And if you'd rather eat dinner before, the restaurants we go to don't mind if you just have something to drink. The point of going out isn't the food, it's the additional support and the opportunity to get to know each other better. As a pre-op I found it helpful to see how post-ops at various stages out from surgery handled eating in a restaurant. It reassured me that life could still be normal after WLS, albeit a new version of "normal". If you need directions, pls. e-mail me. Have a good weekend, Debby
