Looking for a Therapist Recommendation

was wondering if anyone in the northern ct/hartford county area could recommend a good therapist, especially one specializing in eating disorders. i've been procrastinating about this like crazy, mostly becuz i haven't a clue where to begin. any personal recommendations would be greatly appreciated! thanks. patty

Hi Patty, Like Kathy K said, you can try out Kim Daniels, she's devoted most of her practice to WLS and those with obesity and eating disorders. If Middletown is too far for you, you can call her and maybe she knows of someone else closer to you. I'm sure there's a network of therapists that they know one another. You can also call your Ins company and ask for a list, too. I found at my town hall a directory of Mental Health for free and it listed all of my area therapists and their specialities and programs offered. Good luck! paula

One thing not mentioned, is that Kim Daniels runs a seminar with the Dietician on the first Monday each month at the Middlesex Hospital at 6:30 pm. I fyou are feeling shy or anxious, you may want to go to this to listen. Kim is very nice.
