We're going to Attitash Mountain Villiage in New Hampshire for the week of 4th of July - it has a water park across the street and tons of stuff for kids in the area - like make believe land, the wild west, etc. In August we are taking a long weekend and going to Sesame Place in PA. In September, Patty and I are supposed to be heading to the Omega institute in Rhineback, NY for a long weekend and into the Fall - I just bought a 3 night / 4 day vacation for me and my Mom to go to the Bellagio in Las Vegas (neither of us have ever been -it's my Mothers' Day / Birthday gift to her - this will be the 3rd time my mother has ever flown -the last time she was on a plane was 36 years ago!) It looks like I will once again be experiencing another FAT summer - but I'm not going to let it get me down - I am doing something about it and that's all I care about - if people want to look at my fat in the water park this summer - let them look - I'm not going to let it spoil my fun! I'm so looking forward to all of my vacations - it will be very strange going away without my son in September and November - but he'll be 4 at that point and my husband is totally in control - they are very bonded so they'll be fine! It will still be strange for me! Thanks for asking! Best Regards, Tammy

We actually have 3 vacation weeks planned this summer. My wonderful parents are taking me, the hubby and kids to Cozumel for a week in June. I haven't been there since my honeymoon back in 94 so I'm sooooooooo excited and can't wait to share the beautiful isle of Cozumel with my kids. We also have 2 separate weeks planned at Coventry Lake... we rent a house there every summer. It's such a clean and beautiful lake and I can't wait to be swimming with my new bod every day! Note to Kathy ...staying up in the White Mountains.... If you haven't been up there before, it's absolutely one of the best vacation places if you have young children. All the parks are great for little ones! If you do plan on hitting all the parks in the area, you may want to go to the New Hampshire Chamber of Commerce web site and buy a parks pass..... It used to be around $225 or so but will get you 2 free admissions to just about every attraction and if your son is young enough, many of the attractions are free for him. We found the pass to be a great bargain if you plan on going to alot of the attractions. Also, if your little one gets tired, alot of the parks let you come back for a second day free if you arrive at or after 3pm....most of them close up at 6pm. The pass is also good at Attitash for the water park and alpine slide. StoryLand which is closest to where you are staying is great but they do have the longest lines. Our favorite is definately Santa's Village which is about a 45 minute drive. The wild west place is next to Santa's Village but we found that place to be pretty boring. There's also Clarks Trading Post and the Whale's Tale Water Park...these two are actually pretty close together so you could do Clarks in the AM and then head over to the Whales Tale. You definately want to go for breakfast at a restaurant called Glen Junction....up by the intersection near Story Land. Best pancakes ever (and won't give up the recipe!)!! They have a model train that goes around by the ceiling that the kids just love. They are extremely busy and you'll probably have to wait for a table but they give you a beeper and there's a game room upstairs and a nice gift shop next door to pass the time while you wait. There's also a cool ice cream place down the street...take a right out of Attitash that has a really nice playground for the kids. Anyway...I could go on and on...have a great time up there, it's definately one of my favorite vaca spots.
