OT ANY PLAN for SUMMER VACATION
Hey Everybody
Any plans for Summer vacation ??? we can enjoy more ourselves and can fit any rides at Six Flags and feel freedom with our body to go swim and relax without worrying to sit on the booth or sit down on nice sand at the beach ETC... then when we will come home , I will go work for few days then I will have reconstructive surgery by Dr Goodkind on July 21st!
I am looking forward to spend my time with my kids at Hampton Beach this July to have fun to go wave beach with kids and building sand castle while i am sitting on the sand with my daugther. It is going to be Fun. In June I will go whitewater rafting with my son for level four in Mass. Without this surgery I won t be able to do like this and enjoy myself as freedom from health issues!
Summer is so short months and we will be very busier this summer!
Share your exciting news or your goal for this Summer with us!

I have no definate plans yet but I am so looking forward to the summer! Last summer, I was still so icky from the surgery until July or so this will be my first summer that I will really be able to enjoy the benifits of WLS!
I would love to go to an amusement park too. I have always hated them b/c the rides are not exactly made for obese people. Even the rides I fit into were always super uncomfortable b/c the seat belts dig into your fat, etc.
But I want to go anywhere on a plane so I can see if I fit into the seat without an extender. I am assuming I will be able to fit but a part of me will not believe it until it actually happens.
My bf has free plane tickets to go anywhere in the world but he has to stay for 2 weeks and book the accomodations through the company. I would like to go to Paris and London. But that would be very expensive and I have never been in a plane for longer than 2 hours, I'll be scared! But we will see.
Yes, actually! We're planning a 7-day (probably longer) trip to Ireland in August.
I will be my first post-op flight, and I'm looking forward to not having to play the old "Who's Gonna Get the Seat Belt Extender" Game against the other obese people on the flight. The airlines always seemed to only have ONE of those things, but always have a couple dozen larger passengers.

Hi,
Well, we live at the beach, so we'll be going there a lot...and we meet our family at Lake Compounce a few times in the summer and my kids have a blast! I was SO huge last summer, that I didn't like/enjoy myself. This year will be different! I hate rides though!!
In late August, we're going (as a family) to San Francisco on vacation. It'll be the first time flying since 2000 for us and since 9/11. We love SF, so it should be a great time showing it to our kids.
Kids will be doing day camps to have something to do, and we belong to a beach club and that'll be fun too!
If you haven't tried Lake Compounce in Bristol, try it. It's a lot of fun and a LOT different from when we were kids and went there. I grew up about two miles from there...They have a pretty good water park now too.
Have fun on whatever you all plan to do. If anyone ever wants to plan a day at the beach and come down to Rhode Island (Misquamicut) just let me know. It's a beautiful shoreline.

Hey Kathy,
Our plans this year are to go back to Busch Gardens in Virginia and also see Colonial Williamsburg and the Chesapeake Bay Bridge too. We went the year before my surgery and I could not enjoy anything, always out of breath, overheated and tired all the time. Infact my before picture I show everyone if me lying on the bed in the hotel with my daughter. When we go in August I am going to take the same photo to see the difference.
I am so excited about going this year. We did go to Six Flags Great Adventure last year and that was my first outing since surgery. It was a great feeling to be able to walk the whole park and not get out of breath or sweaty or tired. So this year I am really excited.
We are doing so much more as a family than we use to. I was always a stick in the mud from being obese. I never wanted to do anything or go anywhere and now I love doing stuff and going places, its a wonderful feeling.
I hope everyone enjoys their summer this year like I hope to. Love ya all.

Hi Kathy. We are looking forward to going camping. We have a very large and comfy trailer and Ray and I do alot of fishing and swimming, bike riding and just hanging out. The wife isn't that big on it but she comes along as we camp in North Stonington and she works at Electric Boat so its a short ride for her. Besides she goes where the "Cook" go's anyway! Nice to just sit in the sun by the pool reading. We camp with friends so we all get a chance to catch up. Take care,
P.S. Hey Kimm! Great Picture! Love the smile!
Hi All,
I love summer, winter, spring and fall vacations... I love to travel... Being able to walk inbetween the seats in the airplane was great for me. I took a picture of the left over seat belt... I went to Puerto Rico in February and was able to ride the moped in the country...
I went to Florida in April and was not shy to go in the pool area... Had a blast!!!!
I'm going back to Puerto Rico for one day and then to Dominican Republic for 4 days and plan to have a great time...
I'm going to Vegas in August and whatever happens there stays there...
The month of July will do amusement parks with my son and etc...
And end of August plan to have a tummy tuck and just relax....
And since the wedding is next year no more vacations for me until honeymoon...
It feels so great to travel and not have people looking at you and wondering how are you going to fit in this airplane...
Take care and enjoy...
